WCADC is excited to recognize our finalist applicants at the 2023 WCADC Visual Arts Scholarship exhibition and reception! The reception will include an awards ceremony for the recipient of the 2023 scholarship, and two honorable mentions.

About the Event

Join us to celebrate our talented visual scholarship finalists in their pursuit of a visual fine arts education! 

Meet the finalists, enjoy a light refreshment, and view their works in the exhibition gallery at Girls Who Paint in Kensington, MD. One finalist will be selected to receive this year's WCADC Visual Arts Scholarship, and the two honorable mentions will receive a one-year subscription to WCA. 

The Women’s Caucus for Art of Greater Washington, DC Visual Arts Scholarship recognizes artistic excellence among 12th grade female-identifying Black, Indigenous, Persons of Color (BIPOC), enrolled in a high school within the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. Students must be intending to pursue a visual fine arts program of study in a two or four-year university or college. In addition, female-identifying BIPOC first and second-year college students from the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia enrolled in a visual arts program may also apply. Applicants are judged on creativity, originality, and quality.
