Yayoi Kusama is a Japanese artist and writer. She has worked in a wide variety of media, including paining, collage, soft sculpture, performance art and environmental installations. Her themes include repetition, patterns and psychedelic colors. In 1957 she moved to New York city where she produced a series of paintings influenced by abstract expressionist movement, .Kusama influenced her contemporaries such as Andy Warhol.
