Conversation with our Juror; "Our Voices Carry Weight" Virtual Event

We all have such individual voices, mediums, methods and types of art that we create.  How does it all come together? This is a wonderful opportunity to learn more about  Christina Massey"s work and her method of choosing work to create a cohesive show. Also hear from Jaree Donnelly from the City of Gaithersburg and Sandra Davis co-curators for the show.  There will be time for Q/A and to hear from some of the participating artists as well. 

This exhbition shares the artists interpretation of a visual voice and the poetry selections adding a written voice.  Verbal descriptions and how they are spoken can guide the listener with a whisper, a loud voice, or a scream. As a visual artist, how does your art guide the viewer? What visual language have you adopted? Our Voices Carry Weight is an invitation to womenx artists from the DC, Maryland, and Virginia area to use their visual  and written voice to highlight social wrongs, political topics, and pay homage to our literary, musical, and other female icons of yesterday and today.   Please RSVP to receive your zoom login for this virtual event.
