About the Event
Artist Trisha Gupta will provide a personal tour of Neurodiversity: Biodiversity. Focusing on mental health conditions within neurodiversity, Ms. Gupta argues that we must understand neurodiversity as we do biodiversity, where celebrating variety across the human brain can help us to build stronger and healthier communities.
Following the tour will be a mindfulness meditation in the museum’s courtyard, led by yoga and meditation instructor Manju Sadarangani.
Trisha Gupta is a multidisciplinary artist, community activist, and educator. She works in a variety of mediums such as textiles, paint, and printmaking. Heavily impacted by social inequality, her work explores themes of colonialism, mental health, and immigration. She also draws inspiration from her Indian American heritage.
Manju Sadarangani is a registered Yoga Alliance teacher who teaches Kundalini and Nidra yoga at Lighthouse Yoga Center in Washington DC. Her yoga and meditation practices are grounded in a desire for equity, justice, emotional and mental well-being. She brings a spirit of play, body positivity and radical self-love to classes.
