About the Event

Artist Trisha Gupta will provide a personal tour of Neurodiversity: Biodiversity.  Focusing  on mental health conditions within neurodiversity, Ms. Gupta argues  that we must understand neurodiversity as we do biodiversity, where  celebrating variety across the human brain can help us to build stronger  and healthier communities.

Following the tour will be a mindfulness meditation in the museum’s  courtyard, led by yoga and meditation instructor Manju Sadarangani.

Trisha Gupta is a multidisciplinary artist, community activist, and educator. She  works in a variety of mediums such as textiles, paint, and printmaking.  Heavily impacted by social inequality, her work explores themes of  colonialism, mental health, and immigration. She also draws inspiration  from her Indian American heritage.

Manju Sadarangani is a registered Yoga Alliance teacher who teaches Kundalini and Nidra  yoga at Lighthouse Yoga Center in Washington DC.  Her yoga and  meditation practices are grounded in a desire for equity, justice,  emotional and mental well-being. She brings a spirit of play, body  positivity and radical self-love to classes.
