About the Event

Visit Lynda's home studio in Bethesda to make your own unique dish.  


  • No experience necessary and free of charge. 
  • You will create a small dish that must be picked up one week later (after Lynda completes two firings to preserve your piece).
  • Workshop is one hour. 
  • Limited to six (6) registrants. 
  • Vaccination imperative.


Lynda Slayen has worked with fused glass for more than 16 years, and has her own studio in Bethesda, MD where she has taught fused glass for over 10 years. She has also taught fused glass at various private schools in the Washington, DC area, and serves on the board of the James Renwick Alliance which promotes craft arts around the world.

Her pieces are often whimsical, and have been shown in many venues in the Greater DC area. Several local boutiques sell her glass. She enjoys various art forms including mixed media, wire, watercolors with pencil, and fantasy boxes.
