An Experiment: Join an Urban Plein Air Sketch Trip w/ President Holly Stone

Registration is Closed

Time & Location

Mar 20, 12:30 PM – 3:00 PM
Location is TBD - Downtown Bethesda

About the Event

Have you been to all the usual pastoral plein air classes? Itching for a fresh inspirational perspective? What about the rhythm of fenestration with the play of light and shadow? Or the way light is reflected between the planes of urban surfaces? Are you trying to step into abstraction with your paintings?

Try an urban plein air session to stretch and challenge your sense of composition, or just for a change of painting pace. We will meet in downtown Bethesda (exact location TBD) near public parking, in a plaza with seating (no need to bring a chair). Bring a small portable easel, or a sturdy sketch board, and materials of your choosing. We will be safely socially distanced outdoors, wearing face masks. Weather permitting, Saturday, February 20, 12:30 – 3:30 pm. The location will be emailed a few days before the event.
